Every year, the fall season brings enormous
changes in weather, leaf color, and also style. The next few months of chaotic climate will allow
men and women to be more versatile than ever with their personal style.
Often times, it can be hard for guys to
differentiate themselves in a sea of boring suits, sneakers, and snapbacks. As
a student living in a style capital like Atlanta, Ga., I’ve learned a little
about standing out, while looking suave and relaxed.
Today on the blog, Lindsay is allowing me the
privilege of giving you all a little insight about what’s in and out this
season for guys at my school, Morehouse College.
IN
1. All American Polo Rugby. A clean
fresh take on an old classic.
2. Gingham style shirts. Wear it for
a night out with jeans and a blazer.
3. Knit ties. Dress up a suit and add
some texture to your look with a knit tie and a crisp buttondown.
4. Desert Boots and Single or Double Monk
Strap Shoes. These are an upgrade from your traditional Sperry's.
5. Colored Silk Pocket Squares. What
better way to show your personality than with a colored or printed silk pocket
square? Set yourself apart from the crowd by adding a pocket square.
6. Wristwear. Have your wrists
showcase more than just a watch. Don’t be lazy, but don’t over-do it.
OUT
1. Bootcut Jeans. Unless you’re out
working on a farm or you’re dressing up for Halloween you shouldn’t be seen out
in boot cuts. It’s all about slim straight.
2. True Religion Jeans. With the
recent emergence of Atlanta-based rapper 2Chainz, more and more people are
being seen around ATL wearing gaudy True Religion jeans. Stop. 2Chainz can
stay. Those jeans cannot.
3. Gucci Belts. Everyone has them in
ATL. How expensive can they be? The simpler, the better. No need to have 1,000
logos on a 3-foot strip of leather.
