Street Style Stand-Out

I rarely ever cover men's fashion. However, men who can wear clothes like Kevin Abellano wears clothes rarely ever come along. 

At Howard University, a world where mostly everyone dresses remarkably trendy without going against the grain, the Silver Spring Md. native stands out for a few reasons. First, let's go with the obvious. Although he is Pilipino, Kevin attends a Historically Black University. Second, his interpretation of urban street style is original, thoughtful, and almost always unexpected. Third: I mean, come on. Look at all those awesome curls.

As my blog photographer, he’s responsible for all of the wonderful photos of me that you see on the Southern Belle Stylista! As one of my best friends, he has contributed much to the personal growth I’ve seen in my life over the past 6 months.

One of my favorite things about Kevin is his open attitude about life. Although we are young, we are both wise beyond our years. Kevin and I are different in many ways, but we are like-minded in that we are both creative, learn from our experiences, and would rather build up others than tear them down. I have never met a more trustworthy person in my life.

His inner-beauty and complexity radiates and realizes itself in the way he dresses. Kevin is a lover of urban wear, patterns, and geometry. His accessories are always conversation starters, his color palette is always eye-catching, and his silhouettes are always comfortable but well-balanced. Simply put, he is an expert at knowing what he likes.
