Samantha, one of my best friends from middle school, is up
in DC interning this summer, too! For the last couple of months, we’ve been
planning little trips on the weekends to get out in the city. For our excursion
this weekend, we went to the Washington Nationals game!
I expressed my Nationals pride by wearing a white Daniel
Rainn top and a pair of red vintage Karen Scott high-waisted shorts. I topped
the outfit off with my Fossil watch, Michael Kors Hamilton tote, and a copper necklace
from Urban Outfitters. I brought my light blue rain slicker to protect me from
the elements.
The game was great, and the atmosphere was electrifying!
Everyone was so pumped up and expressing their “Natitude” (a term that Nats
fans use that I just think is the most clever/hilarious thing ever).

Braving the drizzle in my rain jacket!
It had been a looooong
time since I’d been to a baseball game, so Samantha was patient with me and helped
me brush up on the rules. It drizzled a little bit, but the rain didn’t quell any
of our excitement: the Nats beat the Braves 5-2!
After the game, we walked down to a lower level of the
stadium to enjoy a free concert by The Wallflowers. Fronted by Bob Dylan's son,
Jakob, this band did not disappoint. They sang their 90s hits “6th
Avenue Heartache” and “One Headlight.”
The game and the concert were the most fun that I’ve
had in a long time! I’m so glad that we went!

did you do this weekend, and more importantly, what did you wear?! Leave me a
